Serenity Prayer Yarn Wreath

Serenity Prayer Yarn Wreath

I originally made this wreath for my sister-in-law. She had been asking me for a wreath and I wanted it to be something special. I eventually came up with this idea.

This wreath was made with a 16" styrofoam wreath form. I used red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and white yarn to wrap the wreath.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the Serenity Prayer and ironed it onto a piece of white felt that has been attached to the back of the wreath.

Lupus Awareness Purple Yarn Wreath

Lupus Awareness Purple Yarn Wreath

May is Lupus Awareness Month. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with Lupus several years ago and requested that I make this wreath. So to show my support and help to spread awareness I happily obliged.

I used a 14" styrofoam wreath that I wrapped with purple yarn, the color of the Lupus Awareness Ribbon.

I created the ribbon pattern with my Silhouette and cut the design out of a complimentary purple fabric and attached to a large piece of white felt. I then attached the white felt to the back of the wreath.

I wanted to add a little more to the wreath so I hand traced and cut 20 small butterflies from white and purple felt and attached to the perimeter of the wreath.

I absolutely love the way this wreath turned out and my sister-in-law loves it and will proudly display it in her home.

Batman Yarn Wreath

Batman Yarn Wreath

From the ages of like 6-9, my nephew was a huge Batman fan. He had all of the action figures, clothes, video games and of course a Halloween Costume. I can remember him never wanting to take the costume off and often times went shopping in it and also slept in it quite often. This wreath is dedicated to Mal who is now 19 and a United States Marine.

I used a 14" styrofoam wreath form that I wrapped with black and yellow yarn. I created the logo with my Silhouette Software and cut the shapes from black fabric and yellow felt. The logo is attached to a large piece of white felt with heat and bond.

If there is a Superhero that you would like just convo me and I will do my best to make it for you.

If you have a Superhero that you would like but don't see it listed...convo me and I will be happy to make it for you.

I used a 14" styrofoam wreath form that I wrapped with blue, red and yellow yarn.

For the logo, I created a stencil and cut out the pattern with my Silhouette. The logo is layered fabric and felt that is attached to a piece of larger white felt. I used heat n bond to secure each of the layers of the logo.

Pink and Purple Deco Mesh Wreath

Pink and Purple Deco Mesh Wreath

Here is a great wreath for Spring and Summer or even for a Special Event or Party.

The base of this wreath is a 14" wire wreath form. The deco mesh I chose for this wreath is a mix of pink and purple. So depending on the angle that you look at the wreath, the colors varies.
I used an entire roll of mesh for this wreath to make sure it was big and full.

I filled the wreath with lots of ribbon. I used purple ribbon, a multi color polka dot ribbon, and a pink plaid ribbon.

The completed wreath measures 22" wide and 8" deep and is perfect for outdoors.

Pink Blue and Green Deco Mesh Ruffle Wreath

Pink Blue and Green Deco Mesh Ruffle Wreath

Perfect to decorate your home for Spring and Summer.

The base of this wreath is a 14" wire wreath form. I used chenille stems to attach all of the deco mesh for this wreath.

The outer layer is a light blue deco mesh followed by a pink deco mesh. The center of the wreath is filled with a pink, blue and lime green metallic deco mesh.

The layered effect of the ruffles make this a nice and full wreath that measures about 22" wide and 7" deep. I have had customers that have been able to fit this wreath on a front door that also has a storm door.

Pink Burlap Ruffle Wreath

Pink Burlap Ruffle Wreath

I used a 14" styrofoam wreath form that I first wrapped with yellow yarn. I like to make sure that the wreath looks complete even from the back.

I hand traced and cut circles out of pink burlap to attach to the wreath. I used about 165 individual burlap circles to make this wreath. Each circle is attached with a dab of fabric glue and a straight pin. I wanted to make sure that it would hold its place.

I added the 3 purple daisies as an afterthought and it really makes the wreath stand out. The daisies are on picks stuck into the wreath so they can be removed depending on the season.

This wreath is perfect for inside or on an outside door away from the elements. It is also narrow enough to fit between a front door and a storm door.

Popeyes Chicken Coop

Popeyes Chicken Coop

So my brother started raising chickens to be able to have fresh eggs.  It's is a relatively small operations with just a few "girls."  This is what he has chosen to call them.  Anyway, my brother has never been one to just simply do things like normal folk and built this fantastic Popeyes Chicken Coop.

I thought it was an awesome idea and looks great.
What do you think?

Burlap Ruffle Wreath with Patriotic Metal Barn Star

Burlap Ruffle Wreath with Patriotic Barn Star

I love working with burlap. It is extremely versatile and gives a really nice rustic look and it's great to hang year round.

For this wreath I started with a 14" styrofoam wreath form. I first wrapped the entire wreath with a light brown yarn to give it a nice finished look even from the back.

I hand traced and cut out 4" burlap circles to make the ruffles. Each ruffle in individually attached to the wreath with a spot of fabric glue and a straight pin to keep it nice and secure.

I left the raw, unfinished edges because I really like the natural look of the burlap. That being said, this wreath with shed a little from the frayed edges. Also, this wreath would best be placed in an area away from the elements. It is also narrow enough to fit between a storm door and your front door or you can just hang it inside!!

I attached a 12" patriotic metal barn star to the center of the wreath to complete the look.
