Black Deco Mesh with White Skull Halloween Wreath

Halloween 2013!!!

Check out the latest addition to my Halloween Wreath Collection.

I picked up this plastic mask a month or so ago but wasn't quite sure what I was going to make when I bought it. I saw I had quite a bit of black deco mesh and figured the mask would really stand out against the black. I also wanted to do something with the eyes so I added a piece of lime green deco mesh to the mask. I believe it really makes it stand out.

The wreath was made on a 12" wire wreath form. I used 2 layers of black deco mesh to make sure that it was nice and full to give it the effect that I wanted. I used lime green tinsel roping to secure the deco mesh.

The completed wreath measures about 18" wide and 8" deep. The skull mask is 7.5" X 6".

Once it was complete, I realized that with the right harness this could actually be worn as one huge mask as well as a great door decoration.

Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Yarn Wreath

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!

Here is another design I have made for Breast Cancer Awareness.

I wrapped a 14" styrofoam wreath form with light pink yarn. I cut diamond shapes out of white felt and attached to the wreath to give it the argyle look. I used a darker pink yarn accent. On each of the diamonds, I attached a large acrylic rhinestone.

For the center I cut out a large piece of white felt and securely attached it to the back of the wreath form. I cut the ribbon out of pink felt and used heat bond to attach it to the wreath. The ribbon is outlined with Swarovski Crystal Rhinestones.

Most everyone knows someone that has been affected by Breast Cancer. Show you support with this beautiful wreath.

Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Deco Mesh Ruffle Wreath

Breast Cancer Awareness Wreath

Most people know someone that has been affected by Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins October 1.

Show your support with this beautiful Pink Deco Mesh Ruffle Wreath.

I used to different shades of pink deco mesh to make the ruffles. The ruffles were attached to a 14" wire wreath form. I purchased the Hope sign several months ago and decided that this would be the perfect time to use it. The sign measures about 18" wide. I painted it pink and then covered the front of the sign with pink glitter. I added two small pink butterflies to the wreath.

The finished wreath measures about 22" wide and 7" deep.

Florida Gators Blue Orange and Green Yarn Wreath

Go Gators!!

I had someone message me on Facebook about the Team Wreaths that I currently had available and was asked if I had one for the Florida Gators. I didn't at the time but advised that I would definitely add it to my collection. I completed the wreath and sent her a photo and she loved it and bought it. I have now added it to my shop!!

I used a standard 14" styrofoam wreath form and wrapped it with blue, orange and green yarn. I wrap the yarn pretty tight and do no overlap the yarn at any point with the exception of adding the pennants.

I created a stencil for the "F" and then cut it out of orange felt. I added to layers of white felt behind the letter to give it a little more stability. The pennants are also cut from white felt and attached to yarn. I painted 1.5" wooden letters to attach to the pennants.

I actually love the colors of this wreath. I believe that it represents the team quite well.

If you don't see your team here, just send me a message and I will be happy to create a custom order.

Saints Inspired Black and Gold Deco Mesh Fleur De Lis Wreath

Who Dat!!!!

This wreath is quite obviously inspired by the New Orleans Saints but is perfect for anyone that loves black, gold and fleur de lis.

I have been having the ribbon for several months but wasn't quite sure what I was going to make. While looking through my stash of deco mesh I found that I still had black and gold and then it hit me.

For the center I used black deco mesh with gold metallic stripes and the for the outside I used a brownish gold deco mesh. The ribbon is black with gold glitter fleur de lis...and I used quite a bit of it on this wreath. I also found a bronze colored metal fleur de lis in my box of goodies. So, I primed and painted it and then pulled out my extra fine gold glitter. I also used a couple of coats of acrylic sealer to keep the glitter from coming off.

I used a 14" wire wreath form. The finished wreath measures about 22" wide and 8" deep. The metal fleur de lis in the center is 8" tall and 6" wide.

Fall Burgundy and Moss Green Deco Mesh Scarecrow Wreath

I absolutely love the colors of Fall, even though I live in the South and we only have 2 Seasons!!

I very rarely go out looking for specific items when I make my wreaths. Unless it is a custom design. (which are always welcome!!!)

I tend to go shopping and just pick up lots of random items to add to my growing collection of stuff. I eventually get inspiration and decided to start putting things together. That is exactly how I came up with the idea for this beautiful Fall Wreath.

I used Burgundy and Moss Green Deco Mesh. I had the wonderful colors of fall plaid ribbon that brought the colors together better than I could have imagined. To give it more of a Fall look I added the rafia and then the finishing touch of the cute little Scarecrow I picked up.

I truly do believe that this wreath truly captures the Spirit and Colors of Fall.

I made this wreath on a 14" metal wreath form. The finished product measures 22" wide and 8" deep. The scarecrow is about 11" tall.

Why not add this Beautiful Fall Wreath to your Home Decor this Holiday Season...

Bloody Eyeballs and Bugs Wreath

I was channeling my inner Dexter when I was making this wreath and it was actually quite fun!!! Messy....but fun.

I started out with a standard 14" styrofoam wreath form that I painted black...just because I thought that it would look better and give a little contrast.
I then added about 140 white ping pong balls to the wreath. At first, my plan was to make just a standard white eyeball wreath but figured it would be creepier with a little blood splatter. So, I found my red acrylic paint and an old brush and started splattering it all over the place. I think it was just enough without going overboard with the blood look.
Next step was to add the googly eyes to each one of the ping pong balls. It wasn't difficult but time consuming and I did get a few burns from the hot glue. Well worth it.
Once again, I was going to stop at that point but was thinking that it needed a little something...oh yeah, bugs and stuff! So off to the store I went and found bags of bugs. I attached cockroaches, centipedes, and spiders. I think it gives it a more disgustingly cute look.

The finished wreath measures about 15" wide.

This will be the perfect addition to your creepy Halloween Decor.

Framed Moss Covered Wood Cross

Simple and Elegant Wood Framed Moss Covered Cross

The frame measures 17.5"x21.5" and the cross measures 12"x8". The cross is securely hung with burlap ribbon.
The cross is covered with a natural moss mat.

I did spray a clear matte protective sealer over the moss to keep it from shedding over time.

I recently made one similar to this for my sister-in-law and she ended up hanging it in her living room instead of on her door.

It would look great either place, in my opinion.

Halloween Plaid Deco Mesh If The Shoe Fits Witch Wreath

Any witches out there????

Decorate your home for Halloween with this whimsical Witch inspired deco mesh wreath.

I used a black, purple and orange plaid deco mesh on a 16" wire wreath form. I did not make the witches boots but when I saw them I knew I had to use them for a wreath. They are made with a plush material and measure about 15" tall. I did make the sign which is a 9.5"x4.5" plaque style board that I painted orange and then added a black bead border. I painted and added purple glitter to the 1.5" letters on the sign.

The completed wreath measure about 22" wide and 9" deep with tip of the shoes.

So, If The Shoe Fits........

Framed Moss Covered Wooden "B" with Burlap Bow

This was my first time working with moss sheeting.  It is extremely messy but the outcome is well worth the mess.
I made this one for my sister-in-law because she had mentioned she wanted a large letter for her door.  I brought it to her and she decided that it was just too nice to put on her door so she hung it in her living room.

I have a feeling I will be making more of this type of decor in the near future.

Fall Burlap Owl Wreath

Here is another version of the Burlap Wreath I made.   I made this one for my wonderful mom!!

Fall Multi Colored Yarn Wreath

Fall is in the air.

Decorate your home for fall with this 14" Fall Colored Yarn Wreath with Fall Colored Leaves and Small Styrofoam Glitter Balls.

I wrapped a 14" styrofoam wreath with 5 different colors of yarn. The pattern was completely random, which is completely different than any of the other yarn wreaths that I have made. I added the leaves and glitter balls to make it a nice accent piece.
