Grinch Green Fun Fur Yarn Wreath

Grinch Green Fun Fur Yarn Wreath

I was digging through my craft supplies and noticed that I had a good bit of the lime green fun fur left over from a spring project. I sat there trying to figure out how I could incorporate this into a holiday wreath....and it hit me....The Grinch!!

I used a 14" Styrofoam Wreath form and wrapped it with Lime Green Fun Fur Yarn. Yes....this could definitely be The Grinch. I pinned the hat to the wreath to make sure that it would not come off. I also added a small piece of cardboard inside the hat to keep it in just the exact shape that I wanted.

The eyes and and nose are cut out of foam sheets and then glued to green floral wire. I inserted the floral wire into the wreath and now I have a face!! I thought...this is starting to look awesome.

I took black tinsel cord and made the mouth shape and then attached it to the wreath and The Grinch was created.

I also added a yarn loop in the back for hanging.

The completed wreath is about 19" tall (to the tip of the hat).

Overall, I am quite pleased with the way that this guy turned out. Probably one of my favorite wreaths I have made to date!!

This particular wreath will be made to order. Processing time will be approximately 3-5 days.

The first one of these I made sold on Etsy in less than an hour after I listed it!!  Quite a popular guy!!
